It’s that time of the year when you tend to make a fool out of yourself more often than you usually do. It’s officially APRIL FOOLS! This doesn’t imply to people like me who manage to make a fool out of themselves on a perennial basis. For all those who know what I am talking about also know this has more to do with people than things. Anyway, April Fools has got nothing to do with this outfit. Trust me. No Really. 😉

It is one of those looks that I’d been meaning to don for a very very long time and it isn’t something that’s out of the box. It’s an outfit that requires you to be oblivious to people’s reaction because you’re wearing something that is altogether opposite of how it’s supposedly meant to be worn. Be Befikre!! That’s the tip I’d like to give you for this particular outfit.

This ensemble is a mix of varied styles. Indian, Boho and Chic. While the Chanderi kurta and the hand knitted Gujrati jacket makes for a bona fide Indian attire, the earrings give quite a boho feel along with the tie up flats that are pretty chic . That’s how I came up with the title of this blog post.

Red is a color that suits all skin tones, be it a red lip color or a red nail paint. Also, red is one of my favorite colors so I absolutely love wearing it at any given opportunity.

Chanderi is a traditional fabric that’s meant to be worn in the summer season because it’s lightweight and has a sheer texture. The fabric is woven in a way that it has a shimmering appearance, adding to it is the fine luxurious feel. Perfect for summers.

I wore this Kurta as a mid length dress!!! YES. Believe you me, I ain’t sure if I am going to wear it any other way now. The jacket works as a perfect accessory and the look would have been incomplete without it. I love combining contrasting colors in the outfit, hence the earrings and well, the flats are way too comfortable and very stylish indeed. Don’t ask me how I’ve done my hair, I tied them in a plait and then made a bun out of it!

For all those who still aren’t convinced to wear the kurta as a dress can wear a black palazzo under under it, It looked great as well. I’ve tried it so it is a genuine suggestion.

Wear this outfit for the perfect day out with your girlfriends, if you are spending the day with your beloved or with anyone else. This is a perfect outfit!
