This particular look is quite different from the ones I’ve done so far because unlike the other attires I did refrained myself from adding a pop of color to this ensemble. Besides the basic denim shades, there are pastel colored block heel peep toes and the tube top too is of an earthy shade.
Firstly, the tube top is actually a skirt that I bought ages ago. YES. 😀 So, in case you haven’t worn a skirt yet as a tube top, I’d suggest you do it soon because this is one of the most basic DIYs. I hadn’t done it until I shot for this look because I was quite apprehensive about it myself- a) Because I ain’t very comfortable wearing tube tops. b) I always thought wearing a skirt as a top would make me feel and look awkward.
I figured out a solution for both my problems. I wore a denim short over the tube top and well, I totally loved the look forget about even an iota of awkwardness.
You can carry the same look in three different ways as I’ve showed in the pictures below. There is also a fourth way to wear it that is, you simply wear it as a dress with the denim shirt with tie up sandals. 😉
For all those who are still not convinced to wear a skirt as a top, just wear it the way it’s meant to be. Also, in case you do have skirts in earthy colors such as these earthy color schemes, then a denim shirt would make for a perfect combination with most of them.
